Payment Options for Pay on Delivery Orders

Pay on Delivery (PoD) orders can be completed using:

  • Cash Payment (subject to conditions)
  • Digital Payment Methods such as Paylink or UPI Scan & Pay

PoD is available only for items Fulfilled by EG BASKET (Econix Solutions Pvt Ltd.)


1. Paying by Cash

  • EG BASKET may allow cash payment at the time of delivery.
  • The package amount should be handed over to the EG BASKET Delivery Associate.
  • Exact Change Required: Delivery associates may not always have change, so customers are requested to provide the exact amount.
  • If available, you may request the Delivery Associate to add the change amount to your EG BASKET Wallet.

Important:

  • ₹2,000 currency notes will not be accepted for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders or Cash-loads as per RBI’s directive dated May 19, 2023.

2. Paying Digitally

A. Using the ‘Pay Now’ Option on the Order Tracking Page

  1. On the delivery day, you will receive a notification via WhatsApp or Email regarding payment.
  2. Go to Your Orders → Select the relevant order → Track package.
  3. Click the "Pay Now" button.
  4. Select a payment method (Credit/Debit Card or UPI) and complete the payment.
  5. After a successful transaction, you will receive a confirmation message on the order tracking page.

B. Paying at Doorstep Using Paylink

  1. Request the Delivery Associate to generate a Paylink for your order.
  2. You will receive a WhatsApp/SMS message with the payment link.
  3. Click on the link and initiate the payment.
  4. Choose a payment method (Credit/Debit Card or UPI) and complete the transaction.
  5. A confirmation message will be sent upon successful payment.

C. Paying at Doorstep Using Scan & Pay (UPI QR Code)

  1. Ask the Delivery Associate for a UPI QR code from the EG BASKET Delivery App.
  2. Verify that the order amount and EG BASKET logo are visible before making the payment.
  3. Scan the QR code using your UPI payment app.
  4. Enter your UPI PIN to complete the payment.
  5. A confirmation message will be received upon successful payment.

3. Pay on Delivery Fee

  • A convenience/handling fee may be applicable to cover processing costs.
  • This fee applies regardless of payment mode (Cash or Digital).
  • The fee is non-refundable in case of order returns.
  • If multiple items are in a single order, the convenience fee is distributed proportionally based on item value.

4. Additional Notes

  • Availability: PoD is not available for all pin codes due to courier limitations.
  • Order Limits: PoD eligibility may vary; check the product details page for specific limits.
  • Lightning Deals: PoD is available for selected Lightning Deals items.
  • Mobile Number Verification:
    • If your mobile number is not verified, you must enter a One-Time Password (OTP) to complete your order.
    • The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • International Orders: PoD is not available for international/export customers.
